As someone who freezes and feels super awkward in front of a camera, as soon as my sister wants to do another practice session for her portfolio, I jump to it! It’s always a fun day out and because it’s my sister, I don’t really worry about how silly I look or feel. So, last Saturday, I threw on a new dress (it was so billowy my 3 year old niece hid underneath it and started patting my belly. Note to self- situps) and we drove to Ockham Common – part of the Surrey Wildlife Trust reserves. There were sandy trails for horse riders and dog walkers and acres of gorgeous woodland.
This beauty came bounding over to say hello! Be still my heart! As soon as she snuffled her greetings, she was running off again.
Like true country walkers we had to resort to errr Citymapper to find our way around…that’s what the pros do right? Sometimes getting lost can be a blessing, otherwise we’d never have come across this amazing clearing in the forest- big, fat purple flowers everywhere and fallen tree logs perfect for avoiding those fake widow spiders! I kid…I didn’t see one creepy crawlie once.
