After dinner, we headed down to the Ladies Market to nose around. I picked up some bits for the kids at home and asked myself if I really needed 1) a Pikachu USB stick 2) fake Gucci slippers and 3) fake food fridge magnets. I didn't in the end but that lineup of stalls makes you question everything, phew! Further down, we hit Sneaker Street where you guessed it, a street of sneaker shops awaited. Tomorrow, a typhoon is meant to hit the city so it's a case of wake up and see for tomorrow's plans!
Tomorrow, is Spa day. But today, is about running around in heels. I'm knackered and we've only just arrived at a wedding reception!
So our trip to Disneyland was a complete washout! We made it as far as Toy Land, before the entire park was closed down and everyone told to make their way out as the Typhoon alert level was bumped to number 8- most rides had already been shut anyway. At least I got my Minnie Mouse ears and got to walk down Main Street!
Our last night in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 now the typhoon has moved on, we were able to go out for an explore before coming back to the hotel to pack. Walked through Temple Street Market, via fortune teller street (literally, a street full of fortune tellers and the worst karaoke singers ever) Our flight isn't until late tomorrow night, so we have all day to tackle....Disneyland again 😏Fingers crossed the rain stays away and the humidity doesn't feel like I'm swimming through soup!
Oh hey, who just trimmed an actual tree in the garden? I'm feeling all green fingered and 💪🏼 and maybe wishing I was a few inches taller now because there's one branch juuuuust out of reach. So, I tried the baby foot peel a few days ago and guys. I don't think it worked. I think my hooves are invincible. On a saner planet, my laptop is cooperating again and I might even have a post scheduled for tomorrow. Ah Sunday, I love a good rambling Sunday. ✌🏼
Matching my surroundings on Main Street! A week ago, I was melting away at Disneyland. It's only a couple of stops away from the airport so luckily we were able to return post typhoon and spent the day here before flying home (also, bless airport lounges with showers) slowly editing my photos from HK but 1) my laptop is all "hold on there compadre disk space full" and 2) I'm lazy
Disneyland, not just for kids! I loved my first trip to Hong Kong Disneyland and now I have Disney fever! EuroDisney trip anyone? (Have to put those Minnie ears to use!)
